Heshani Vithanage
Physiotherapist
DPT (APAM)

Heshani is a highly qualified physiotherapist and a distinguished graduate of the University of Melbourne, where she completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy following a Bachelor of Science degree. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy care to support optimal recovery and long-term health outcomes.

Heshani has a strong interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with particular expertise in treating knee pain, back pain, neck pain, and shoulder injuries. She uses a combination of hands-on manual therapy and personalised exercise rehabilitation programs to help patients reduce pain, restore movement, and achieve sustainable recovery.

In addition to general physiotherapy, Heshani specialises in clinical Pilates, including pre-natal and post-natal Pilates programs. She has undertaken further professional training in pelvic floor physiotherapy and incontinence management, allowing her to provide comprehensive care for women’s health conditions, including pregnancy-related pain and post-partum recovery.

Heshani adopts a holistic and patient-centred approach, tailoring each treatment plan to the individual’s needs and goals. She is committed to empowering her patients through education, movement, and practical strategies to support long-term injury prevention and overall wellbeing.

Outside of the clinic, Heshani enjoys staying active through jogging and hiking, and strongly believes in the role of regular physical activity in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This passion is reflected in her approach to helping clients incorporate movement and exercise into their everyday lives.

If you are looking for a physiotherapist in Melbourne for musculoskeletal injuries, women’s health physiotherapy, pelvic floor treatment, or clinical Pilates, Heshani provides personalised and professional care to support your recovery and wellbeing.

Heshani is available for consultation on Wednesday.
