Do I need a referral?
At Life Physio, we offer the convenience of accessing most of our physiotherapy services without the need for a referral. This allows you to seek physiotherapy care directly as needed. However, there are certain exceptions to this policy.
If you plan to use the Medicare EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) program for our services, a referral from your General Practitioner (GP) is necessary. For appointments booked under the EPC program, please note that there is a gap fee of $22 per session. This fee is applicable because Medicare contributes $58 towards each session under this program.
Additionally, it's crucial to understand that the EPC/Care Plan sessions are strictly limited to physiotherapy services. This means that these sessions cannot be used for appointments with our Remedial Massage Therapists or Myotherapists. We advise patients to consider this when planning their care under the EPC program.

Payment Options
At Life Physio, we strive to make your payment process as convenient as possible by offering a range of payment options. You can choose to pay using cash, credit card, or EFTPOS, according to your preference.
For clients with private health insurance that includes extras cover, we facilitate immediate claim processing. Just bring your insurance card to your appointment, and we'll manage the claim on your behalf. This service allows you to pay only the gap amount, which is the difference between our fee and the amount covered by your insurance. Generally, most health funds reimburse about 50-80% of our fees.
However, it's important to verify the specifics of your coverage with your health fund directly, as rebate amounts can vary. We recommend contacting them to confirm the exact details of your rebate, ensuring you have a clear understanding of your out-of-pocket expenses.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected events such as work obligations or traffic issues can sometimes cause delays. If you find yourself running late, we kindly ask that you notify us as promptly as possible.
Additionally, should you need to cancel an appointment, we request at least 4 hours' notice. This advance notification enables us to allocate your time slot to other patients requiring treatment.
Please be aware that for cancellations made less than 4 hours but more than 2 hours prior to your appointment, a late cancellation fee of $50 will be charged.
For appointments that are either missed without prior notice or cancelled less than 2 hours before the scheduled time, we will have to impose a charge equivalent to the full cost of the planned treatment.
Our SMS appointment reminders will include a note about this policy. Your understanding and cooperation in this matter are greatly appreciated, as they help us maintain respect for the valuable time of our therapists and other patients.

What to bring / What to wear
Please ensure to bring all relevant documents pertaining to your treatment for your appointment. This includes any letters, x-rays, MRIs, reports, referrals, or other materials you may have obtained from your doctor, specialist, or other healthcare professionals.
For your comfort and to facilitate an effective assessment of your condition, we suggest wearing loose and comfortable clothing to your appointment.
