Kim Duyen Diep
Pelvic Floor and Incontinence Physiotherapist Kim completed her Master of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University in 2012. She has been working in private practice ever since. During her studies and clinical experience, Kim developed an interest in working in Private Practice servicing the local community. Kim is also completed her post graduation course specialised in Pelvic floor and Incontinence Physiotherapy at Melbourne University. She also enjoys treating Women’s Health and pregnancy-related conditions. Kim had previously consulted from clinics located in both Cairnlea and Broadmeadows. Due to her amazing physio skills combined with her hard-working attitude and care for her patients, Kim quickly became popular around the Cairnlea, Deer Park, Kings Park, St Albans and Broadmeadows areas. Kim has a keen interest in Musculoskeletal Injuries and has done further studies to enhance her skills with Dry Needling. Kim also has a particular interest in treating back injuries and using Clinical Pilates as a form of injury management, rehabilitation, and prevention. Outside of work, Kim loves spending time with family and friends, and she has a keen interest in travelling. |
Jodie Jones
Physiotherapist With degrees in Applied Science (Human Movement) as well as Exercise Rehabilitation, Jodie completed her Master of Physiotherapy Studies from the University of Queensland. She joined our team in 2011, and quickly became our most popular physio due to her amazing physio skills combined with her high level of commitment and hard work. Whilst able to treat all sorts of conditions, her special interests include sports injuries, exercise rehabilitation, postural dysfunction, core stability, and neck pain/headaches. |
Danica Emery
Physiotherapist & Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist Danica has both her Bachelor of Physiotherapy, as well as Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science, from the University of Notre Dame in WA. She joined Life Physio in 2015 and has a special interest in the treament and rehabilitation of sporting injuries, neck pain/ headaches and women's health issues. Danica has attended a further master train in pelvic floor physiotherapist. She is well trained to manage pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions (including coccyx pain, pelvic girdle pain and thoracic pain), return to sport after childbirth, incontinence, prolapse, chronic pelvic pain, perineal trauma, mastitis, pre and post-operative pelvic surgery rehabilitation and pre and postnatal abdominal and pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. Outside of work Danica enjoys binge watching series on Netflix, reading and remaining active by playing netball and walking her two dogs. |
Young Jeon
Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor Young graduated from the University of Newcastle, bachelor degree of physiotherapy in 2010 after completed Physiotherapy degree in South Korea in 2005. She has been working as private practice physiotherapist, developed her experience and enjoys a wide range of aspects of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She has special interest in spinal health as well as sport injury rehabilitation, loves utilising pilates equipment as she has completed a course of mat/equipment APPI clinical pilates. Her 2 dogs are good mates for her regular walk or bush walking, she also loves her gym workout and equipment pilates. |
Matthew Thompson
Physiotherapist Matthew graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne with a Master of Physiotherapy Practice, having already completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences. He joined the Life Physio team in 2016. He has completed an additional Dry Needling and cupping course to develop more skills. Outside of work, Matthew has interest in weight lifting, kick boxing and bodybuilding field as he has 9 years of practical experience in the gym. During his studies and clinical practice, Matthew has developed a special interest in Musculoskeletal Injuries and has a strong belief in combining a patient centered approach with his clinical knowledge to achieve a successful outcome. |
Heshani Vithanage
Physiotherapist Heshani completed the Doctor of Physiotherapy program through the University of Melbourne. Prior to completing her Physiotherapy studies, Heshani completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Melbourne. Heshani enjoys rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries, especially around the knee, back, neck and shoulders. She implements a combined approach of hands-on manual therapy and exercise prescription in her treatment plans to promote long-term recovery. Outside of work, Heshani enjoys being physically active with jogging and hiking. She is a strong believer in the importance of physical activity in leading a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, she also strives to help her clients implement physical activity into their daily lives and achieve their fitness goals. |
Wendy Doan
Physiotherapist Wendy completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree with Honours from Monash University. She has a strong clinical background and interest in musculoskeletal and sporting conditions having worked with football clubs across Victoria for over three years. Currently, she is working as a physiotherapist at University Blues Football Club who play in the VAFA (A grade). Wendy utilises an evidence based approach to help patients achieve their goals. To continue her learning, she is currently working on becoming APPI certified in matwork and equipment based Pilates. Outside the clinic, Wendy likes to keep fit through strength work at the gym and is currently training to compete in her first half marathon. |
Jayson Ilang-Ilang
Physiotherapist Jayson graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree and also holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from RMIT. He has experience in both Hospital and private sports based practices and has worked at St Vincent’s hospital helping post operative orthopaedic and neurological patients with their rehabilitation. Jayson has also worked closely as a Physio with AFL VAFA club Westbourne Grammarians. He has strong interests in spinal conditions, sporting injuries, all musculoskeletal conditions as well as Work related / TAC injuries. Jayson believes that the key to effective rehabilitation is to empower patients to take control of their own conditions. Placing an emphasis on individualised strength and conditioning and combining this with manual therapy to ensure that patients walk out in control of their pain. Jayson has completed further training in Clinical Pilates, Dry needling and is currently undertaking training to be a strength and conditioning coach. Outside of being a Physio, Jayson enjoys playing basketball, cricket, and golf. He is a mad Essendon supporter, loves to hangout with friends and his dogs Doug and Boma. |
Min Park
Physiotherapist Min completed her bachelor degree of physiotherapy at University of Newcastle in 2010 and has been working in private clinic. She has a special interest in sports injuries and exercise based rehabilitation and currently widened her interest in women's health. Outside of her work, she enjoys sight seeing, travelling and watching movies. |
Cassie Hovey
Accredited Exercise Physiologist Cassie graduated from Federation University in 2015 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology after completing a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Cassie has a special interest in lower back pain, arthritic conditions and post joint replacements. Helping those get stronger and back to work and their leisure activities. Outside of work Cassie plays netball and keeps fit at the gym. |
Mary Nosal
Myotherapist Mary has completed her advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage and Myotherapy and has over 12 years experience. She specialises in soft tissue manipulation, cupping, Myofascial release, trigger points, deep tissue massages, reflexology, TMJ Dysfunction , head Massage and rehabilitative exercises. She thoroughly enjoys meeting new people, getting to know them, meeting their needs and always strives to provide the best possible experience. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, walks on the beach, dancing and spending time with family and friends. |
James Varsamakis
Remedial massage therapist James completed his advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2018 and plans on doing further studies in 2019 in Myotherapy. He also works at Altona City Soccer Club as the Head sports trainer and massage therapist, where he assesses and manages injured players. Outside of work, James loves playing and watching soccer, as well as keeping fit at the gym. With his magic hands and fingers, James helps unravelling knotted-up muscles and revitalising tired bodies. For injuries, his work helps speed up the recovery process, and often eliminates the patient's need to attend physio altogether! He has received a lot of excellent feedback from all his clients. |
